Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments

To help women achieve healthier looking skin, we offer RegenLab – recognised as the leading patented technology for Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma (A-PRP). This treatment processes your own blood, concentrating the powerful growth factors of your own platelets to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin and stem cells. A high concentration of your blood platelets stimulates stem cells, increases production of collagen, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving texture and tone, and reduces the appearance of scars.

PRP is a great option for women who are looking to achieve the following cosmetic goals.

  • Rejuvenate skin in the face, eyes, neck and hands
  • Reduce scarring in the face or body
  • Combat hair loss
  • Improve appearance of stretch marks

Are Treatment Results Immediate?

No. Over the course of a few weeks, the platelets will stimulate the growth factors which will lead to the healing collagen growth. Women will generally see the best results between six and eight weeks, with continual improvement seen over the next 6 months.

Results will also depend on your overall health. Smoking, alcohol consumption and a poor diet can have an impact on your results. Stop smoking, limit alcohol and ensure you are eating healthy and staying hydrated.

How Many Treatments Will Be Needed?

It is typically advisable to have 4 treatments, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart for optimal results. We then recommend a top-up treatment every 6-12 months to maintain your results.

How It Works

Blood will be drawn by one of our cosmetic nurses or physicians. The number of tubes/vials collected will depend on the size of the treatment area. Typically, you need just one or two small tubes/vials. The blood is spun to isolate and concentrate the body’s natural and powerful regenerating growth factors.

Your comfort is always our priority therefore we will apply a topical pain-relieving solution for facial PRP and for hair PRP we will inject a local anaesthetic to ring block the area being treated.

The PRP injection triggers the body’s own healing mechanism.

The cells in the targeted area are revitalised and rejuvenated. This serves the goal of improving skin, filling lines and wrinkles, and aiding in scar healing.
