Lead by world-renowned Dr. Jennifer Martinick from Martinick Hair and Dr. Sara Kotai, Man Cave Sydney’s medical director, hair transplant specialist and cosmetic physician are noted for their highest achievable outcomes by way of a thicker looking head of transplanted hair that is all you!
Transplanted hair is your own hair, so it grows just as your own hair forever. You can style it, wash it, play sport and swim just as you would with your own hair. Transplantation offers a permanent solution to hair loss because the transplanted hair is resistant to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone that causes hair loss.
After your obligation free consultation, work with the doctor to design your perfect hairline.
Hair transplantation is a simple outpatient procedure lasting anywhere between 4-8 hours. The procedure is performed under a local anaesthetic to ensure you are comfortable and your downtime is 10-14 days off work and physical activity. Hair is taken from the back of the scalp (donor site) to replace those lost.
The recipient sites are prepared to receive the donor follicles – carefully designed to your individual needs to ensure natural and undetectable results. Early results are usually seen around 6 months, with maximum results after 12 months.
Enjoy your new hair! Cut and style as you please – it’s your own hair and will grow like normal hair. Never fear swimming or windy days again!

I had been experiencing hair loss for over 10 years. I had tried everything over this time – gels, lasers, massage, medications – and nothing had made me feel confident about the way my hair looked.
I never let anyone cut my hair as I was afraid they would cut the side parts that I would grow to make the area look thicker, so I cut my own. I would always walk in the direction of the wind and was terrified of swimming in case people would see the extent of my hair loss when my hair was wet.
I wore a matte taupe eyeshadow to shade in my front hairline to make it look lower and fuller, a trick that worked for the TV studio bright lights and camera, but not so well in natural light.
I had my procedure in June 2015, and it has changed my life! I was naturally anxious, yet excited about the surgery – I didn’t really know what to expect. On the day of surgery, I didn’t feel much – I was comfortable and felt well looked after was actually a nice experience! There was less pain and swelling during recovery than I had expected, and I was back at work after four days.
Now that it’s grown, I don’t have to worry about the wind! I’m a much more confident man now – I’d go so far as to say they, changed my life.
I started balding around the age of 26, it didn’t bother me to much until I got into my mid 30. By the time I turned 36 I had to shave my head because I was so bald. I really was not happy by this point. I was not dating and I was really insecure about my hair. I always wore hats, took photos with the top of my head cut off and when dining at restaurants and bars I would look for the darkest chair to sit on. I also started turning down jobs that involved me being on camera filming YouTube videos and commercials. I had had enough and started looking into hair transplants and doctors. From my research and speaking to some of my clients that are doctors I discovered Martinick Hair at Man Cave Sydney.
I decided to book a consult, and what’s funny is when I started telling people that I was considering hair transplants everyone was so against it and tried to talk me out of it!!
I think a lot of people have been scared by those bad hair plugs from the 80’s. After my consult I was very convinced that I was in the right hands. I booked the next available ap-pointment! The surgery was easy and completely non-painful, I think I slept through most of it, but I do remember them providing lunch of my choice, I got sushi! The day after the surgery I was fine and just rested at home. The stitches in the back of my head were a bit tight but honestly no pain, well maybe the first night was a bit uneasy but after that no problems.
I went back to work the next day, (I had told everyone that I was having the surgery), but if you wanted to keep it to your self then take a week off! My surgery was in early Feb and by my birthday in May I had hair. I was so thrilled it was honestly the best decision of my life. I went to Greece in July on a boys trip and my confidence was an all-time high and on that trip I met my partner and we are now getting married.
I am now 41 and feel like I am looking my best and my new hair is unreal, it looks and feels better then my old thin hair line. I tell people about my hair all the time and no one can pick that I have had a hair transplant, it looks and feels like the rest of my hair. I am truly happy with my self and very grateful for the amazing team at Martinick Hair and Man Cave Sydney.
I’d been suffering from hair loss for over 10 years and it was making me feel old.
After years of thinking about treatments, I had gotten to the point that I finally just had to do
I had been thinking of a hair system/toupee, as shaving it wasn’t an option (I had tried it a few times and it didn’t suit me at all.)
I had seen many clients over the years get transplants from various places, mainly overseas and on the cheaper side, some were successful but many weren’t.
After seeing some amazing results from a coworker and another client of mine (who had their procedures done by Dr. Martinick. Dr.Kotai at Martinick Hair/Man Cave Sydney) I was sold instantly and knew I had found the best of the best to do my procedure.
I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would have had the results I have – they have exceeded my expectations on every level.
I cannot believe how great it is after only 7 months! It’s so natural, no one can tell it’s a transplant, and people are shocked when I tell them – it’s worth every cent.
It has changed my life – I am happier now and more confident than ever.
I love the new found freedom of not having to worry about the few hairs I previously had on my head blowing in the wind! Now I love the wind blowing my hair around.
I said to the doctors on the day of my procedure that you will never have another patient who would appreciate having hair again more than me and I guarantee they won’t, I will be forever grateful to everyone involved in the day of my procedure who made me feel so calm and at ease.
I don’t like needles of any sort, I can honestly say I didn’t feel a thing and the recovery was virtually painless – I was expecting it to be much worse.
Once the hair started growing, I could look in the mirror and know that it was all coming back – it was the best feeling.
I love having a full head of hair again!
I was low on confidence and really wanting to reclaim my hairline. I had been thinking for a while about how to approach it, starting with Rogaine, Propecia and all the products most guys would use.
Then I just bit the bullet and went to visit the lovely people at Martinick Hair @ Man Cave Sydney and they made me feel very comfortable with all the questions I had – and there were a stack!
My apprehension was cured with the excitement of gaining my hairline back and I decided to move forward with the surgery.
On the day I was calmly talked through everything and I was just happy to be getting it done. Everything went so fast it was really surprising and the team who surrounded me were nothing short of fantastic and supportive. It really made things easier because it can be a touch daunting.
I went home that day after receiving instructions how to ensure the best return for my hair growth and began the long but fruitful journey towards watching my hair grow back! The months passed and I noticed solid growth after just a few months and now I have a pretty good head of hair which I’m extremely content with. I thoroughly recommend getting the procedure done if you are low on confidence or if your hair really hurts your confidence. The team are really professional, helpful post op and the results are impressive.
I thought I would share my story regarding my life changing hair transplant. I started losing my hair at the age of 18, so I pretty much wore a hat for most of my adult life.
About three years ago I started sporting the worst comb over you could imagine, it was about 10 cm long and went from one side of my head to the other.
I was so embarrassed and self conscious about my hair that I literally slept with my hat next to me, and would not show my hair to anyone.
In 2016 I started searching for hair transplant clinics. After doing my research, I decided on Martinick Hair at Man Cave Sydney.
In my consultation, I was so self conscious that when I had to remove my hat for the pho-tos, the consultant at the time sensed my distress and and actually apologised and told me that they would make this as quick as possible.
Fast forward one year after my hair transplant and the only words I can come up with is “LIFE CHANGING”. They really changed my whole life and I truly mean that They’ve done a magic job that I thought was impossible.
I’ve always thought of myself as an active go-getter. I’m a yoga instructor, actor and voice coach, so I’ve always kept my body fit and active and I like to look and feel healthy and young.
But by the time I reached my forties it felt as though my hair was letting me down. I had my procedure with Martinick Hair at Man Cave Sydney two years ago and it was a breeze. I’m amazed by how the way you look can change the way you feel – I find myself feeling younger and more energised. Confidence and energy seem to be related, and now I have both – it feels like my hair has given me a new life. Now my hair and body match. I’m fifty this year and feeling as youthful as my students!
