I went to Man Cave Sydney for laser hair removal after almost a year of IPL treatments did nothing for me at a different clinic in Sydney. Dr Sara and the staff are great fun, and always make me feel comfortable, they properly monitor your progress so you don`t fall into a cycle of ineffective procedures, and so far the ‘Lumenis Lightsheer’ machine they use has been working fantastically for me on my chest, back, upper arms/legs.
I have found the treatments they provide to be cheaper than most clinics, and even though I have embarrassingly sensitive skin, I have not needed a cold pack or wet towel after any of the treatments, and have always been able to walk out with no down time.
I came to Man Cave for laser hair removal after pretty disappointing results at a previous ‘physician run’ clinic on the lower north shore. The clinic had a number of doctors you only saw once, and took no interest in your treatment progression after the first consult, and had equally disinterested treating staff.
My main gripe however was the outdated laser technology, it often overheated if you were having large treatment areas done, delaying procedures or worse meaning they had to be done over multiple appointments, and topping it off after 4 treatments to each area I found did not give me results.
Since starting at Man Cave Dr. Kotai has taken a continuing interest in my treatments and modifying them when needed, the staff are all great fun, the laser is fast and does not hurt so I have found no need for numbing cream, and they have a great follow-up system in place to make sure you come in around the right time to get the maximum amount of active hair follicles.
So far I have had 7 treatments and basically have the results I had originally hoped for.
Whereas women tend to have a focus on the face and the bikini line, men have different goals for their hair removal needs. The back and chest are the most popular choices for men.

You are likely to see good results immediately following treatment. Results can vary between patients. There are some factors that can impact your results. The colour of your skin, the colour and thickness of your hair, and the area that was treated. Most patients will see up to a 25% reduction in their hair after their first treatment.
Results can vary between individuals. Most patients require a minimum of 2 treatments, but some may need up to 6.
The majority of our patients remain hair-free for months, and even years. Results depend largely on the area that was treated, the size of the area treated, and of course the coarseness and colour of the hair. When hair regrows, it is likely to be much less noticeable. To maintain results, patients may require maintenance laser treatments.
This can vary between patients. Laser hair removal often requires a series of treatments. The majority of patients can have treatment once every 4 to 6 weeks. Most patients will see some regrowth in hair.
